3 Rainbow Recipes You MUST Try to Celebrate Pride

As you may have heard, June is LGBTQ+ Pride Month. The month of celebration is meant to commemorate the June 28 anniversary of the 1969 Stonewall Riots in New York City, when patrons of a gay bar called the Stonewall Inn fought against a police raid. In 2015, same-sex marriage was legalized on June 26, and, once again, this year, President Obama released a Presidential Proclamation officially declaring June as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Pride Month. He encourages all of us to “eliminate prejudice everywhere it exists, and to celebrate the great diversity of the American people.” That diversity is represented by the rainbow LGBT flag created by San Francisco artist Gilbert Baker in 1978. So it only makes sense that while you honor this special month, and learn more about LGBTQ history, you should indulge in some of the best technicolor treats out there.
