Croissant Baking Class: A 5-Segment Guided Discovery Journey Our Croissant Baking Class is designed to help you master the art of croissants in manageable steps through our unique guided discovery roadmap. This class is broken into five segments, allowing you to focus on each part of the process with expert guidance from your Chef instructor. Once you’ve booked your first segment, we will email you to schedule segments 2, 3, 4, and 5 at times that work best for you. What Makes Our Classes Unique? Our guided discovery method helps you uncover your inner culinarian. Your Chef instructor will: Verbally guide you through every step, from prepping ingredients to completing and plating your dish. Share personalized tips, tricks, and professional insights tailored to your needs. Focus entirely on you—your Chef will not cook alongside you, ensuring their full attention is on guiding your experience. Class Segments and Sample Schedule Segment 1: Dough Preparation (1 hour) Timeframe: Book your preferred date and time. Learn the basics of croissant dough, including mixing, kneading, and setting up for the first rise. Resting Time: Let dough rise for 1-2 hours, until doubled in size. Segment 2: Butter Block & Lamination (1.5 hours) Timeframe: Schedule 4-6 hours after Segment 1. Prepare the butter block and laminate the dough with your first fold. Resting Time: Chill dough for 2 hours before Segment 3. Segment 3: Second Fold & Pre-Shaping (1 hour) Timeframe: Schedule 2-3 hours after Segment 2. Perform the second fold, pre-shape the dough, and cut into triangles for shaping. Resting Time: Chill dough for 15-30 minutes before Segment 4. Segment 4: Shaping the Croissants (1 hour) Timeframe: Schedule 2-3 hours after Segment 3. Shape the croissants and arrange them on the baking sheet for final proofing. Resting Time: Proof for 2-4 hours before Segment 5. Segment 5: Baking the Croissants (1 hour) Timeframe: Schedule 8-12 hours after Segment 4. Bake the croissants to a golden brown and enjoy! The total guided class time across all five segments is approximately 5.5 hours, with additional time allocated for proofing and resting between sessions.


Reschedule + Cancellation Policy

To reschedule a class, email hello@homeec.co at least 24 hours before your scheduled time. Reschedule requests within this timeframe result in class cancellation and provide credit for a new booking. Note, prices may vary. No refunds for canceled classes; no exceptions. Arriving over 30 minutes late cancels the class if remaining time is insufficient. No refunds or credits issued; no exceptions. By buying a class, you accept risks inherent in cooking, waiving claims against Home Ec, instructors, officers, and employees for injuries, damages, or expenses. Instructor changes may occur based on availability. Home Ec Certified instructors guaranteed. Cancel due to instructor change 24+ hours before for full refund.
